Bliss Balls (or Bites!)

A classic recipe from the Marigold Catering menu. These are always a crowd pleaser, especially because they're sugar free! Bonus!



What makes Bliss Balls so fun is that you can really play around with the ingredients and toppings.

You also have the option of not making them into balls at all! I often find Bliss Bites are a lot easier, and quicker. All you do is line a baking tray with parchment, tip in the mix and press down. You can then cover in your desired topping.


 

Ingredients

300g dates (soaked in hot water for 15 mins)

200g walnuts/ pecans

115g crunchy peanut butter

55g hemp protein (or other protein powder)

55g rolled oats (GF if you want)

4 tbsp of cacao powder (or cocoa)

Pinch of salt


Coverings of your choice-- Hemp hearts, desiccated coconut, matcha powder, berry powders, cocoa/ cacao, chopped nuts, use your imagination!


Method:

Add the pecans to a blender and blitz

Then add in the drained dates

Add in the rest of the ingredients blitz until it all comes together

Form into small balls and roll in the covering of your choosing or tip into a lined baking tray and press down, keep in the fridge and then cut into squares.
